RatafiĆ Goccia Rossa by DF Gocce is a liqueur steeped in tradition. Alessio De Berardinis explains in his book "Ricordi sulla maniera di manifatturare vini e liquori" (Memories on the Way of Making Wines and Spirits) that the name derives from the Latin words Pax rata fiat (the peace agreement is made). This phrase was uttered by ambassadors when signing a peace agreement. This is the most poetic theory, but more likely the name derives from the formula "ut rata fiat" ("so that the agreements are kept"). This was used when negotiators, after signing an agreement, would toast it to guarantee the pact.

Description
Goccia Rossa is made from an infusion of sour cherries and other natural flavors, blended with six wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cesanese del Piglio, for approximately 45 days. Maceration continues for three months, during which the product is periodically stirred. Finally, it is filtered and bottled.
RatafiĆ Goccia Rossa by DF Gocce has an intense ruby red color with purple highlights. On the nose, it offers aromas of wild berries, with a strong predominance of sour cherries. On the palate, it is intense, sweet, and smooth.
